Dear November

Written by Eva Barnsley

Dear November,
You brought the cold, nights of endless dancing and contentment.

Jewellery - Layering up silver hoops or cherry earrings. Buy yourself a pair of stars/fruits/moons/hearts/angels for your hears and fill your fingers with rings.

Colour - Yellow jackets, red berets, orange pants... Sporting primary colours is a great way to make your outfits a little more interesting.

Checkered Vans - I recently bought a pair of these; and I wear them daily. Similar to wearing bright colours, patterns add something to your outfit. I love wearing sneakers; casual and comfy but the range is endless.

Overalls - As Winter approaches, overalls have become one of my best friends. They are super comfortable and are a staple item. I change between Sofia's Tommy Hilfiger's and some black cord dungarees from Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Leopard Print - With the cold, I've been able to bring out my leopard print jacket and beret. Statement pieces like this are the perfect way to make an outfit interesting.

Bob Ross - One night we wanted to have a movie night but ended up watching episodes of Bob Ross. Really sweet man, and great to watch with your friends. Get inspired and make some art.

George Harrison: Living in the Material World - This documentary is found on Netflix and focuses on George Harrison's life from childhood to death. It takes a look at his path to spirituality and travels in India; it left me in tears.

Run Lola Run - A German film from the late '90s that breaks all the rules of cinema. Taking inspiration from Lola's bright red hair and green checkered pants, the film is very worthwhile.

Planet Earth - Recently I have started to project Planet Earth onto my bedroom wall. Time lapses of plants sprouting from the forest floor, stories of animal tribes, it is an incredible delve into the natural world.

Dance - I have not stopped dancing recently. It makes you feel great, and is super fun with friends. Coordinate stories to songs and play your music loud, which brings us to...

Collage - A really simple way to make art that can look amazing. I find collaging to be a great stress relief and it's fun to do while watching movies.

Minimal Shopping - Recently, I have found a lot more value in spending money on smaller, more precious things. Spend your money wisely.

Hot Chocolate - My daily craving; hot chocolate from Cong Caphe.

Croissants - Perfect with hot chocolate!
