These photos were taken in Shoreditch, London during a phase of finding my own voice through photography – although I believe that ‘phase’ never ends. I am a young, forever-learning photographer who is trying to find her style and a way to express herself through art. I create my best work when I feel like I am truly capturing a piece of myself.
I love that feeling during a shoot, when you know you’re creating from within yourself; there is so much more to photography than simply capturing a moment, sometimes the fun part is creating the moment... that’s why I am starting to get into fashion photography more and more, because I feel like the photographer has all the power to direct and create a feeling through the clothes, models, colours... This is such a contrast to another form of photography that I love to shoot which is street and travel, which simply involves being in the right place at the right time.
Before you continue, hit play and let Play That Funky Music take you through the photos...
